I was delighted to learn this morning that I received two Silver awards in the APNPI bi-annual awards. (APNPI - Accredited Professional, Newborn Photographers International)
The awards were judged by a panel of internationally recognised photographers and I really enjoyed watching the live image critique where the judges score and discuss each image.
You may recognise the second image as a bronze award winner in a different competition last year. One of the main reasons I enter my work in competitions is for the critique and feedback you receive. As an artist, this is incredibly helpful and helps me to grow and improve my skills. I re-edited my bronze award winning image on the basis of the feedback I received and the judges at APNPI agreed that it warranted a higher score.
