Headshots + Personal Branding

Your image is more than just a photograph; it’s a reflection of who you are and what you stand for. In today’s world, personal branding photography isn’t just a luxury—it’s a vital tool for building connections, establishing trust, and standing out in your industry.

What story do you want to tell? Perhaps you want to convey professionalism and credibility, showcasing a sharp, polished edge. Or maybe you want to highlight approachability and authenticity, with images that invite your audience to connect with you. Whether you’re a business owner, an entrepreneur, or a professional climbing the career ladder, your images should align with your values and the message you want to share.

To help you look and feel your absolute best, I collaborate with skilled hair and makeup artists who enhance your natural features and give you a polished, camera-ready finish. This added touch ensures you feel confident and poised in front of the lens, so your personality can shine through effortlessly.

We’ll also work together to plan a variety of outfit options, ranging from formal business attire to more relaxed, smart-casual styles. This approach gives you a versatile suite of images to use across all your platforms—whether it’s a corporate headshot for LinkedIn, a casual yet professional image for social media, or a polished portrait for your website and marketing materials.

You’ll never feel like you’re left to figure it all out on your own. I’ll guide you through every step, ensuring you feel comfortable, confident, and well-prepared. Together, we’ll create timeless, high-quality images that reflect your professionalism, authenticity, and individuality, leaving a lasting impression wherever your brand takes you.

This isn’t just photography; it’s your story, captured with purpose and style. Let’s create images that truly represent the best version of you.

Our Clients Say

Relaxed contemporary headshot for a female CEO, captured by Christchurch photographer Kirsten Naomi Photography

I hired Kirsten to help boost my business profile with more personal branding for my website. She was so lovely, professional and helped me navigate the shoot which was all very foreign to me. I was so happy the way the photos turned out. They are exactly what I was wanting for my website. I couldn’t recommend Kirsten enough. It was a great experience and fantastic results.

I’ll guide you through every step, from posing to expression, so you feel confident and look your best. By the end of the session, you’ll feel at ease and may even enjoy the process!

Women: We have a client wardrobe with many gowns, bodysuits, and flowing fabrics that are ideal for a maternity portrait session. Our wardrobe includes options to suit a wide range of figures and personal styles. We do recommend you bring a range of underwear, including smooth natural coloured pants and bra, a strapless bra, and some more lacy items if you wish them to be photographed on show. • Do you photograph outside?
No. We shoot in the studio where we don't have to worry about the weather and have great light at all times. The best outdoor light is either at dawn or dusk and, in our experience, this isn't the best time for pregnant women. Photographing indoors enables us to keep you at a comfortable temperature and makes the session really easy as you don't have to walk far; have easy access to a bathroom, and can count on your session going ahead even if it's wet and windy. We also love studio portraits because they are classic and will stand the test of time. We use multiple outfits and can change the backdrop to get lots of variety in your collection.

  • Why are printed portraits so important?
Printed portraits provide a tangible, lasting way to preserve your family’s memories. In an age of fleeting digital images, these carefully crafted heirlooms tell your story, becoming cherished keepsakes that can be passed down for generations.

  • When is the best time for my newborn session?
We aim to hold the session while your baby is very new and still used to being tucked up inside — usually between days 5 and 14 after birth. Because we can’t predict when your baby will choose to make an entrance, we make a provisional booking on your due date and update this to a confirmed appointment time after they have arrived. We know it can feel daunting to leave the house with a brand new baby, so we have made our studio easy to access, with parking at the door, and very comfortable with everything you might need.

As a parent you will take lots of photos of your children, but so often we end up with very few photos with ourselves in them. When I look back at the photos from my own children's newborn sessions, my favourite images are the family ones. I have them on the wall of our living room and they bring me (and the rest of our family) joy every day.
